Ski resort JAHODNÁ (570-720 m) with three ski-lifts, mechanicly snow-bound hills, night skying and ice-rink, is situated 3 km south from the center. There is a resort called PLEJSY which is 30 km far and satisfies even experienced skiers. There are about 14 mechanicaly snow-bound ski rotes in 460-1025 m hight about sea level. Cable railway which is 2 km long and 7 ski lifts of various lenght are available for skiers.
Ružín
Artificial water reservoir Ružín is situated just 4 km from hotel DAM in a beautiful environment of eastern Europe. This place, with its many coves and two islands, is very popular recreational destination for people from Košice as well as for people looking for relax and sport activities near the water. Ružín is surrounded by beautiful mountains, out of which Sinec is the most interesting and majestic. Trip by boat on emerald-green surface of this calm and large lake, surrounded by thick forest is for sure one of the unforgettable experience.
